FIELDS & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
The fields and grounds maintenance staff at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex
strives to provide the very best soccer fields in the nation under the
heavy usage demands of the soccer community. Some of the key agronomic
practices that we do at the complex are designing and implementing a
sound fertility program for the fields, designing and implementing a
safe and effective herbicide program for the fields and common areas,
aerification and topdressing of the fields, and implementing a sound
irrigation program to name a few. The above agronomic practices go hand
in hand with the routine maintenance practices, such as mowing of the
fields and common areas which total approximately 140 acres, painting
of the fields, and keeping the complex clean by picking up all the litter.
Together, the two types of practices are aimed at providing the soccer
community with the very best quality soccer fields in the nation without
sacrifice to player safety and environmental stewardship.
